Photography
I will be offering small print collections soon!
Until 2011 or so I always had a camera in hand. I took pictures of anything and everything specializing in candid, macro and action shots. I was a purist and rarely used filters or Photoshop except to correct for lighting limitations of my equipment or the situation.
I have a plethora of photography that I never had the chance to go through. It is my plan to go through it slowly and start sharing it. I have started taking photos again and I'm so grateful to be able to access that part of my brain. I missed what has been an almost lifelong form of creativity. I have begun to be more open to creative tweaking of the images as well.
I never really considered my photos creative since my primary goal was to capture images that were as realistic as possible. I wanted my images to look as the moment did to me. As I have begun to be creative in other ways and feel how that feels I have begun to realize that the process of taking photos was actually very much a creative process. I just did not have the opportunity to realize it and as such I avoided many opportunities, such as hanging my stuff up in galleries, because I did not think my work was "appropriately creative".
Below you can see images that I shared on DeviantArt 10-15 years ago and some that are more recent. It is only a small selection of the 20,000+ images that I have to go through. :)
